Ummm... Captain El what do you think the specifications will be for FSX. What does FSX have to offer me that FS2004 cannot?

FSX will be using an advanced DirectX interface, known as DirectX 10. DX10 tops way above the current DX9 interface, as the DX10 interface has much more graphics facilities in it, such as unified shading and geometry (currently supported by ATI's upcoming R600). Such a unified architecture would be superior due to the fact that it can render graphics data much faster, and more efficiently, plus, taking away the CPU stress to free up the CPU to focus more on the gaming processing, rather than the graphics traffic. This should greatly increase gaming performance as well as better graphics in upcoming games, such as FSX and Crysis.
FSX will blow FS2004's default in about every single aspect. AS I have seen, FSX's stock scenery already stacks up with current FS2004's top payware add-ons, which is great news. If you want to have more information on FSX and how it works, you can pick a copy today!
Yes fans!! Its out! Although it is stil recommended to wait until Vista comes out, until you can unleash FSX's true fabled glory in DX10. DX10 won't work on either XP or current (old) DX9 graphics cards. So I guess theres a lot of saving up to do for this summer's shopping! ;D

Just to give you a quick hint of the hardware you will need to FULLY enjoy FSX in DX10 at the most insane, ultra-high settings. >Windows Vista (Home Premium or better)(Recommended is Ultimate) >DirectX 10 compatible graphics card >1GB memory (!IMPORTANT!)(Recommended is ATI R600 or nVIDIA 8800GTX) >at least 2GB of RAM (preferable DDR2 or upcoming DDR3) >at least 50GB of free space (required 16BG, but to get ultimate performance, it is recommended not to cram in in your HD) >Intel Core 2 Duo (E6600 or better)(Recommended is Core 2 Extreme X6800 or QX6800 (Quad-core)) > !AT LEAST! 900 Watt Power Supply to quench the power-thirsty hardware >fast motherboard >Joystick >headphones/stereo speakers w/ 2 channel sound or better >functioning keyboard >at least a half-battered up mouse (or better) >monitor (not battered up, please) That is just to give you an idea of what you will be needing for the upcoming FSX and be able to enjoy it in its true mind-blowing experience with DX10 and maximum graphics output. Good luck to you all and have a good flight. -Captain El
